(HMS) announced today that it has been awarded full accreditation under the case management organization standards, version 1.3. by URAC (also known as American Accreditation Health Care Commission).Meeting the national case management standards established by URAC as they relate to workers’ compensation is an important milestone for HMS. “ We are pleased and proud to be one of the first workers’ compensation managed care organizations in the State of Ohio to receive full accreditation from URAC. This demonstrates our continued commitment to quality and service for all of our customers. URAC is a non-profit organization that has issued over 2,000 accreditation certificates to over 500 managed care organizations doing business in all 50 states and Canada. URAC accredited companies provide health care to more than 150 million Americans. URAC accreditation standards are recognized nationally as providing the benchmarks for quality in managed care organizations.
